Vista Alegre Apartment Complex has given a free year’s rent to a Santa Fe family at the United Way Pancakes on the Plaza.
Mayor David Coss introduced the winners, Pauline Rose Garcia and son, Gilbert Garcia, both from Santa Fe. Rose Garcia thanked Coss and Vista Alegre Apartments, and said she was blessed to be chosen.
Community members had the opportunity to register in a drawing for a free year’s rent at Vista Alegre Apartments, located at 1489 Zepol Road in Santa Fe. As part of the United Way’s Pancakes fundraiser, Vista Alegre donated a year’s rent to one lucky community member.
“Its such a pleasure to be a part of a community of caring individuals who support one another as we see today by the thousands of people who have come to enjoy Pancakes on the Plaza and help raise money for the families that United Way’s programs support,” Coss said, “similarly, Vista Alegre Apartments has shown such compassion with their generous support of the community today.”
