Amid the warmth of friends and family, Thanksgiving was a special day for my husband and me. There was, of course, the greatest spread of food you could imagine from smoked turkey and ham to decadent desserts you only see in magazines. Loretta James, Seniority

There was a lot of laughter and good conversation, both with the adults and children present.

On Thanksgiving eve there was nothing more relaxing than sitting in the hot tub looking up at a sky full of stars and all the wonders of the universe when the temperature outside was in the teens and just enjoying one another’s company. We have so many things to be thankful for, living in America.

A sobering moment came when the gentleman who asked the blessing read a prayer which makes me think we have taken our liberty too much for granted. I would like to pass it on to you:
